Theology of the Body Rosary Meditations
Contemplating Christ's Love for His Bride the Church
This book, by Debbie Staresinic, uses St. John Paul II's own words, and words of other popes and saints to help you meditate on the Holy Rosary thru the view of the Theology of the Body. The Theology of the Body was the topic of 129 talks given by St. John Paul II between 1979 and 1984. From the book:
Theology of the Body is St. John Paul II's teaching on what it means to be human. It explains what it means to be made - male and female - in the image and likeness of God, addressing the questions: Who am I? Why am I here? How do I find happiness.
This book leads you thru the rosary from that theology.
In this book, meditate on Jesus as the Bridegroom of the Church - in every mystery. Looking at the mysteries from that perspective opens your eyes to them. Each mystery features a quote from the Theology of the Body and an illustration. There is a meditation then the Voices of the Church, quotes from other Popes and saints to help you understand or to reinforce each mystery. Lastly there is a short prayer.
