Theology of the Body Rosary Meditations
Contemplating Christ’s Love for His Bride the Church
In this year where we have been celebrating the events at Fatima, where Our Lady again asked us to always pray the Rosary, comes a new rosary meditation.
Saint John Paul II loved the rosary and called it his favorite prayer. Between 1979 and 1984, Saint John Paul II gave us his Theology of the Body in 129 Wednesday Audiences. He looked at Christ’s reflections on marriage and words of Christ relating to virginity, celibacy and marriage, among other topics.
Debbie Staresinic has blended what Saint John Paul II has given us in his Theology of the Body Contemplating Christ’s Love for His Bride the Church, with his love of the Rosary. She has given us thoughtful and inspirational meditations on each of the twenty mysteries
With every mystery, she takes a look at the impact of Jesus and his life in fulfilling his role as the Bridegroom of the Church. The two page spread for each mystery features artwork and a quote from the Theology of the Body (TOB). There is also a meditation on this, followed by a quote from a pope or saint. Each page/mystery ends with a short prayer.
Let this book open your eyes to a new way to look at the mysteries we have been praying for years. God created us in his own image, and gave us his only son. This perspective helps us to follow Jesus as he lived God’s promise to us.
